5 Perfection

After a long wait I finally received my hand guard. The installation was easy, and precise! The guard is extremely light and helps lessen the front heavy of the Galil. To top it all off, it looks even better in person. Looks and price are better than the other guys. A total win. Also Kelly was extremely helpful and polite with the process.

5 Compatibility, fit and ergonomics

As others mentioned, it fits the threaded version of the 7.62x39 pistol. The fit is extremely tight and provides insanely nice lock up. I lightly tapped it on the front with a nylon mallet and it slid right down. The rail is solid! Midwest Industries did great job making a slim, light-weight rail for the Galil ACE. It looks so much better, fits the hand better and with MLOK slots mounting accessories is much better than the standard pic rails. I doubt if it weighs less than the plastic but it doesn't feel substantially heavier. I think the price is super reasonable considering it is a one-off firearm that cannot be extended to other brands. It is unfortunate for MI that IWI is now making their Gen 2 have a similar product from the factory. I think it is a testament to how much better of a product the aftermarket was offering. TLDR - It is great. If you are thinking about it, just pull the trigger. I'm glad I was able to pick it up after it being sold out everywhere.

Recently purchased this handguard and I'm extremely pleased as to its function and appearance on my Galil Ace rifle. Instructional video was very easy to follow which made the installation a breeze. The products are great as I would expect from MI but the service was amazing. The customer service really made me a devotee to your organization with their communication and responsiveness. Those qualities are difficult to find with a lot of vendors especially with the environment we're in today. So many other places treat customer service as an afterthought but MI greatly impressed me. The MI handguard fit perfectly on my Galil Ace 5.56mm pistol. The installation was very easy. Literally under 5 minutes. The quality of construction and smooth finish on the MI handguard is second to none. The slim profile fits my hand/grip and shooting style better, and additionally, the MI handguard is aesthetically, in my opinion, better looking with a more streamlined appearance than the bulky OEM handguard. I would definitely recommend the MI handguard.

Great Handguard, very easy install as long as you know which version of the Galil. Mine is the 7.62x39 but has a bolt on each side of the gas block so the 5.56 Handguard was needed. Installed in 5 minutes.

Love my Galil Ace rifle, hated the polymer hand guard and polymer rails, and panels. I debated over which hand guard to purchase for my Galil Ace rifle (there are two companies) I went with MI because I have other MI products and for price versus value. This hand guard has transformed my Galil Ace rifle into my favorite rifle to shoot and was easy to install, make to have a torque driver. Yaaaaay Midwest Industries!

5 Awesome Handguard

Fit my 7.62 x 39 Galil ACE pistol perfectly, and installed in less than 10 minutes. The tools and thread locker required to install the handguard were included. The narrower profile gives an improved feel over the clunky factory handguard. Only minor criticism is that the helicoil used for the rear mounting screw stands out like mad against the black anodize—nothing a dab of black paint can’t fix. Be sure to follow MI’s instructions to select the correct handguard for the mounting screw style of your gun! Well worth the money.

5 Call them first!

They tell you if you have questions to call them, PLEASE make sure you do. I called because I didn't know which one to get the 762x39 rail(my caliber is this) or the 556 version. The gentleman told me to take rail off with the provided hex key and to call him. I did just that, there are 2 bolts opposite sise of eachother, he asked was it smooth or threaded I said threaded so instead of me needing the 762x39 rail I actually needed the 556 rail...wtf? He stated that IWI didn't have a exact way of making the 556 version or 762x39 version, so the next guy could have a 762x39 caliber and it's smooth not threaded same with the 556 caliber. He was helpful saved me time and aggrevation. I received it in 2 days so shipping was fast. Install was easy and changed the look of rifle for the better. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS, looking forward towards my next purchase.
