5 IWI Galil Ace Pistol 7.62x39..perfect!

As the previous reviewer states, this fits perfectly on the 7.62x39 version of the Galil Ace and Midwest Industries should do a better job of explaining this as they currently have the 7.62 version "Out of Stock". It was easy to install even though I had to stretch it a bit to fit just right, but after that, the two opposing screws went in fine and held tight. I used the Galil during a Carbine class in Florida, and the handguard was very hot to the touch after 60+ rounds, even with m-lok grips installed. You'll need a glove from now on, but it's well worth it as it's slimmer, lighter, and sexy as f**k. RS Regulate has the only other handguard for the Galil Ace and while it's slightly better looking, it's never in stock, so don't think twice and get this.

The model name may be a little misleading as this fits the 762 also. This works for either as long as you have the 2 opposing screws. This is lighter, slimes than OEM. Lack of heat shield will be hotter. Obviously its slimmer and it seems to balance out the weight more. Its in stock and not vaporware

Wasn't a huge fan of the oem handguard, this MI one fit my 556 ace rifle perfectly. Very happy that I got it. MI makes good stuff.

After a long wait I finally received my hand guard. The installation was easy, and precise! The guard is extremely light and helps lessen the front heavy of the Galil. To top it all off, it looks even better in person. Looks and price are better than the other guys. A total win. Also Kelly was extremely helpful and polite with the process.

5 Compatibility, fit and ergonomics

As others mentioned, it fits the threaded version of the 7.62x39 pistol. The fit is extremely tight and provides insanely nice lock up. I lightly tapped it on the front with a nylon mallet and it slid right down. The rail is solid! Midwest Industries did great job making a slim, light-weight rail for the Galil ACE. It looks so much better, fits the hand better and with MLOK slots mounting accessories is much better than the standard pic rails. I doubt if it weighs less than the plastic but it doesn't feel substantially heavier. I think the price is super reasonable considering it is a one-off firearm that cannot be extended to other brands. It is unfortunate for MI that IWI is now making their Gen 2 have a similar product from the factory. I think it is a testament to how much better of a product the aftermarket was offering. TLDR - It is great. If you are thinking about it, just pull the trigger. I'm glad I was able to pick it up after it being sold out everywhere.

Recently purchased this handguard and I'm extremely pleased as to its function and appearance on my Galil Ace rifle. Instructional video was very easy to follow which made the installation a breeze. The products are great as I would expect from MI but the service was amazing. The customer service really made me a devotee to your organization with their communication and responsiveness. Those qualities are difficult to find with a lot of vendors especially with the environment we're in today. So many other places treat customer service as an afterthought but MI greatly impressed me. The MI handguard fit perfectly on my Galil Ace 5.56mm pistol. The installation was very easy. Literally under 5 minutes. The quality of construction and smooth finish on the MI handguard is second to none. The slim profile fits my hand/grip and shooting style better, and additionally, the MI handguard is aesthetically, in my opinion, better looking with a more streamlined appearance than the bulky OEM handguard. I would definitely recommend the MI handguard.

Great Handguard, very easy install as long as you know which version of the Galil. Mine is the 7.62x39 but has a bolt on each side of the gas block so the 5.56 Handguard was needed. Installed in 5 minutes.
