The MI-AKSMG2-YR is made of great quality and at an affordable price! It is well built and fits perfectly on my Zastava M70 AK. I will be purchasing another unit as soon as the 5.56 mm Model M90 Zastava AK comes market early this summer. Thank you for a great product, I will recommend it to all my AK friends!

5 Excellent and durable mount

There are several other types of mounting solution's for optics on AK's in the market. But most of them are perpetually out of stock and pretty expensive. The MRO Midwest industries mount for my Yugo AK is very rigid and stable. It also maintained zero at 100 yards after removing it and the fact that I attach the optic directly to the mount takes away an extra piece of weight and movement that makes the optic that much more stable. I really trust this product and this brand. I will continue to beat this mount but expect it to last me a life time.

Nice looking one-piece attachment to my latest ZPAP M70 rifle. Actually, there are not many options to find the right mount for Yugo AK rifles. The competitor is offering 2 parts mount attachment and sold them separately for a high price each. I don't like those complications. So I have chosen this one and I'm happy with it. It will be a nice set with my back-ordered Primary Arms SLx 3x32mm Gen III Prism Scope. Highly recommend for those who have a limited budget.

So, I wanted to mount this on my brand new Yugo import Z-Pap, after reviewing the available options. I'll admit, when it first came in, I had some issues. The spring retaining the locking mechanism popped out. But, after an email to customer service, I was able to fix it myself. This thing locks up tight and has been very repeatable. I ended up exchanging for the forward mounted red dot version, but if I were running a scope, this would be the way to go.

The package arrived like the postman had been practicing for the World Cup with it. It was beat up so badly the edges of the mount had broken through the packaging, however the finish was not damaged. The mount sits very low and clears the dust cover by about 2mm. The positioning on the rifle looks great overall. It holds zero very well after being removed and reattached. Overall very pleased and do recommend it.

The Yugo AK platform are great but have limited options when it comes to modding. The support staff at Midwest were awesome when I emailed about the rail. I have been using the rail for about 6 months and it is amazing. I paired it with a Primary Arms 3x ACSS and I am extremely happy with my setup. Everytime I detach and reattach the mount to the rifle it always returns to zero. It is a sold product and I recommend it to anyone looking to mount an optic to their Yugo.

The only rail that fits an NPAP GEN 2 M70 right. Don't make the same mistake I did and purchase the wrong rail for your YUGO. The Quick detatch system works great, locks securely. It's about time we had a decent optics mount for these quality rifles.

This is a perfect mount for the Yugo Npap M70. It's solid and well made. It adapts well to either red dots or scopes and resets well after it's removed. I haven't lost zero yet.

Having bought a MI Gen 1 rail for my Arsenal SAM7R and finding it to be rock solid, easy to install and remove, while retaining Perfect zero, I purchased one of these Gen 2 Yugo mounts for my NPAP and the results have been similarly excellent. There's no reason to spend more on an AK side mount than what these go for. They're terrific.
