OK. So this is the grown-up version of the Amazon mounts. Most of which look cheap/flaky. The Midwest Industries mount looks like something a military branch might issue. It is important for myself that a piece of firearms equipment has the look that inspires confidence, and has engineering that affirms first impressions. This mount replaces the Amazon sourced mount which sits too high on the receiver. The Midwest product fits at a perfect height over the receiver, I am getting a perfect cheek weld. It FEELS right. I would like Midwest to manufacture a mount for the VEPR Pioneer 7.62x39. That little rifle has the civilian hunting rifle stock, not the thumbhole. It already has the side rail, but VEPR lost the US market before anyone could make the mount. How about it, Midwest?

I mounted this on my Molot VEPR. Fit was absolutely perfect. Very stable with a Vortex Strikefire mounted on top. Looks amazing. Haven't checked zero yet but was almost spot on with a laser bore sighter. Worth every penny. I have a set of MI BU flip sights on an AR so buying this for my AK was a no brainer. MI makes top drawer parts!

I really like the AK scope mount. Very nicely done, quality, fit and finish. Working as aerospace machinist I can spot a flaw a mile away....there are none to see on this mount.

I purchased two of these mounts and am very pleased with both. They lock up solid and return to zero every time they are removed and reinstalled.

Unfortunately due to my lack of knowledge about a AKs I pick the wrong mount, I'm more of a AR-15 guy but since I picked up the wrong Mount I called customer service they told me exactly what I needed and a friend of mine looked at the one I had it fit his so I gave it to him I was planning on returning it to exchange for the new one but it was such a nice quality that my friend was very happy with his gift and I order the correct mount for my Yugo AK I'm waiting on receiving it but I'm sure I'll be just as happy same quality just a different kind of mouth that goes with my AK customer service was wonderful Kelly email me back and forth until I was satisfied and I had a great experience thank you very much

I bought this to put on a Kalashnikov komrad 12 gauge. I have a nice sight to put on it for shooting slugs and this attachment is well built and is very solid installed. I am going to buy another one for my ak47
