This is a well designed accessory. Install was fast and hassle free. Well done!

By far one of the easiest installs of any AK accessory ever, maybe beating out even trying to thread the pistol grip screw into the retaining nut. Although it lacks some of the real-estate compared to competing designs, it more than makes up for it in terms of material quality and ease of use; you don't even need to take your lower handguard off to install. This railed gas tube is perfect for mounting a laser aiming module and a tape switch for a WML, and it appears to hold zero nicely so its most likely good for optics as well.

This is easy to install and is an excellent upgrade. Looks really nice.

Simple installation. Rock solid, must have item for any standard AK rifle. No reason not to have it. Had a problem with my mailing address but was cleared up in less then an hour via email. Good product. Good service.

I bought this to add a red dot to my Pioneer Arms AK47 because it did not come with a side rail mount. This thing fits like a glove. It is a little tight but will wear in a little I believe with some use.

Installed on Century Arms WASR with Magpul Zhukov handguard. The flat sides of the forward end of the gas tube fit flush with the polymer wings of the Zhukov. Of the three vent holes in the gas tube, 1 1/2 are occluded but not blocked by the aluminum chassis of the Zhukov.
The gas tube fit snugly fore and aft. There was no need (or opportunity) to use the rear set screws to level the tube. I just screwed them down to the barrel.
No filing was necessary. The Zhukov did not need to be removed (except of course for the gas tube cover). The MI gas tube exhibits no movement.
A Burris FastFire III blocked the Krebs rear ghost ring. A Holosun HS403A was low enough to co-witness, though the ghost ring was slightly occluded at its lowest elevation.

I'm not a big fan of the side mounts on aks so I went for a railed gas tube on my RAS47 and it fits and functions perfect. Not to mention it only takes like 2 minutes to have a fully functional rail that looks bad ass. I have never had an bad experiences with midwest industries products...
