I grabbed this adapter for my AK-M platform so I could run a modern 1913-style stock without cutting into the rest of my gun. Installation was pretty straightforward (with the right tools) — and once it was torqued down using the steel tension blocks, it feels very tight and secure. The 6061 hard-coat anodized aluminum is light but rugged, and there’s zero wobble when mounted. Since adding this, I’ve run several hundred rounds, and it hasn’t shifted or loosened at all — the tension system works exactly as intended. I’m using a folding stock, and while there was a little fitting involved to clear the tang, it’s totally usable. The adjustability and cheek weld improvements with the new stock are night and day compared to the original setup. For the price (especially if you catch it on sale), this is a solid buy. Midwest Industries really nailed the balance of durability, precision, and modularity. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to modernize their AK without destroying the tang or receiver.

I have a Century arms BFT47 and had to grind down the sides so it would fit in the rear trunnion but it works great

This fit my WASR 10/63, I did have to shave a little off the tang for the stock to rise and fold to the left, then I learned that I could just give it a tap and it folds. Might have not needed to shave any at all! Try a good tap before you shave!

So far, I love it. It’s very solid and sturdy. For a foldable stock like the Midwest Industries Alpha stock, I had to flip the adapter on the stock so that it would press down and fold to the right instead of the left due to the tang of the AK blocking any lifting to fold action. Still works great, and I didn’t commit to cutting off the tang.

So the product does secure the alpha stock to a receiver very well, and very securely. However, it is only almost tang compatible, as the tang on a WBP Jack still sticks out over the 1913 rail by about 1/3 of an inch, which inhibits the alpha stock from being able to fold to the left.
