My review is for this rail in FDE. To note: I LOVE the FDE COLOR MI chose. Not exactly FDE or Sand, but a nice shade which does contrast very well against black and other fde pieces. As for the rail itself...PERFECT! The drop-in is great, but this one adds a whole new level of upper receiver fitment and appearance for just a bit more work. Unlike the drop-in which utilizes the delta ring assembly, this unit simply clamps on to any standard GI nut. Delta ring, spring pack and c-clip need to be removed. JUST DON'T CUT THEM OFF, properly remove them and save them. Correctly installed, this rail is ridiculously solid! ZERO play anywhere!!! It provides a truly monolithic look which is tres sexy and it offers the benefit of a free float. Plenty of real estate for all your railed needs. Great price. Great product. What more can you ask for? Thanks again MI, for yet another perfect product!

5 Installed painlessly onto Stag Model 8 (Piston)

Just received this rail earlier today and I couldn’t be any happier. Took about 20-25 minutes to remove the delta ring, spring and C-clip and installed the Gen2 two piece free floating rail. The fit and finish is perfect. The price point for this grade of hardware is unbeatable. Highly recommend if you’re ready for a serious upgrade. Rock solid quad rail, a little heavier than some but I wanted a tough rail. M lok and keymod are fine but they are not as solid as a quad rail.

Man this quad made my Colt LE6920 look like a beauty. Had a hard time removing the A2 post pin but it worked out like a champ. Definitely will be purchasing different MI quad rails in the future for my AR15s.

Items received promptly with complimentary thermal mug holders! The rails feature superb workmanship - as I always expected and got from MI products with positive / solid fastening fixtures and detailed installation instructions. The rails fit is perfect - fully adjustable for co witnessing to the receiver top rail. Once installed, the rail "feel" solid - akin to monolithic rail upper receivers with added features of multiple QD sling mounts, and appropriate cutouts for the OEM barrel hardware. Highly recommend this product!

This rail is amazing. I work at a gun shop, and I teach classes with ar's. I installed this, on my rifle I normally use for teaching classes, and it is a game changer, at least it was for me. I like the sight radius of m4 types of rifles, however I prefer to drive my support arm out farther than I could on just normal carbine length handguards. This kit is amazing. It provides a rock solid platform, for my shooting style, and to boot. . . It makes it feel like I'm shooting my old m4 sopmod I got to play with back in the military. I legit, feel younger when I shoot with this rail. Legit. . . I feel younger and more bad ass than I have felt in a long time. Because of this rail. Also it turns heads. That's a thing too. I get people asking me alot about my build. I tell them get Midwest kit. This thing is money.

I mounted this bad boy on a cheap PSA SOPMOD-inspired budget build. This handguard is rock-solid on a Cerro Forge upper (keyhole stamp) and it is a true free-float setup. It was super simple to install. The hardest part was cutting off the delta ring and punching out the pin in the front sling mount. I especially love the anti-rotation tabs. This handguard will not move once it is mounted. For the price, this is the definite way to go for an extended FSP cut handguard. Very well done, MI.
