5 When ounces are pounds
Posted by Fly Navy on Oct 10th 2026
The first one installed perfectly as an integral part of MI's ultra-lightweight handguard on my 13.9 P&W featherweight build. I liked it so much, I purchased another one to replace a standard, MI steel barrel nut when I re-barreled my wife's build. My only thought is whether the thermal expansion rate of titanium being half that of the stainless-steel barrel will generate high stress in that joint over time as the barrel heats. I'm nearly certain MI has thought of that as well, and their Engineers are way smarter than me. No more thinking; just enjoy (and learn to shoot better).

This barrel nut went on smoothly and was very easy to torque to spec.

5 Gucci Parts For My ADM/MI Build
Posted by Nathan Cunningham on Jan 31st 2024
I purchased this titanium barrel nut & screws upgrade for my 15" MI Lightweight free float rail that got installed on my ADM UIC billet receiver set. Machining & weight savings is very nice. Some what of a steep price but you only live once amd these parts are gucci.

5 Unbelievable Product, Good Work Midwestindustries!
Posted by David on Jan 19th 2022
This barrel nut works with Timber Creek and SLR rails, and will work with any rail that is compatible with them. It lightened the rifle quite a bit from the carbon steel weightlifting plate that was supplied by default, and the strength of the part has to be exponentially greater. Highly recommended as a must have part for every build you have.

5 Great looking part and fit/finish were Superb!

This part looked so good, it's a shame it gets covered up by the handguard. However, the weight savings is significant over the barrel nut and bolts that came with my Combat series rail/handguard. Thanks!

You folks are always my first choice for handguards and associated products. As your product line expands I’ll consider and tryout those products. Your ordering and fulfillment is top notch. I appreciate that.
