installed this rail on very early marlin 1895 - 45-70 , it fits perfect and looks great, can still use open sights which is nice. Thanks Midwest for a great product which brought this 50 year old gun up to date in the 21st century.

Installed on my 336CS and it's amazing. Didn't realize it had a cut out for iron sights till I received it. High quality for a great price.

Bought this base for a 1971 Marlin Model 336 .30-30 Screws holes all lined up perfectly and the screws were all the right length. Installation was a breeze. Front end of base extends past receiver over an inch - does not touch barrel. The length of this base give you plenty of room for scope mounting. There are very few quality offerings out there for scope bases for the Model 336. Having bought MI products in the past I was confident that this base would be of better quality than other brands currently offered. MI did not disappoint!
