5 First..but not the last
Posted by Justin on Dec 8th 2022
Was initially hesitant to purchase at this price, as there are less expensive options. I took a shot, and am damn glad I did. I have used the end plates with sling adaptors, and find that Midwest Industries is the way to go. The construction, concept, and design are all TOP NOTCH! Construction--solid, high quality material that will last and endure, Concept--easily installs with the INCLUDED tool without removing castle nut and end plate. I used a little blue loktite for the sake of making sure, but don't feel the loktite was necessary. Design--TRUE ambi that is easily accessed with multiple sling styles. The sling loop sits far enough back from the grip and rear of the receiver that, even with gloves, clipping and unclipping of slings is easily done. Conclusion--if you are on the fence about your purchase, feel 100000% confident this adaptor is the way to go. Just the thoughts/unpaid endorsement of a customer with a background in private sector personal security. Thanks MI

5 Works Great

Holds nice and tight against the castle nut. I put a little bit of blue loctite on the bolt, and make sure you don't torque too much. Holds the weight of the rifle solidly and adds added security to the castle nut backing out. No need to stake it. Great product.

4 Good Piece of Gear
Posted by Carter on Jun 8th 2017
Not a lot to say about it, as it is a simple piece. It is very easy to install and it fits FN M4s that we were issued (unlike the pieces of shit sold at the base exchange). The one that I have eventually wore through the clip rings (there is about a millimeter of metal left); HOWEVER, that is after a combined 21 months of continuous daily use in Afghanistan. I suspect it is because of the aluminum used. For the average user that keeps their weapon in a safe most of the time, this piece will probably last a lifetime. I just ordered the HD model manufactured w/ steel, so we will see how that one holds up. A bit pricey for what it is; overall, a good product that works as advertised. Would purchase again; however opted for the steel version this time.
