Highly recommended this product or any like it midwest makes. Super solid and stable mount. Takes only a few seconds to put on or take off. Well worth the price.

This mount functions well so far. I haven't had time to take it to the range yet, but it is nice that it has adjustable windage which I needed when I mounted it on an old SAR 1. I only found one issue out the gate, and I know this is for the MRO, but I put an MRO patrol on it, and I can't open the flip caps without lifting the rear leaf sight out of the way first, so if the mount was moved a few whiskers to the rear it would be perfect. Otherwise, I am really impressed with the quality and shipping was super fast. Thanks Midwest, keep up the good work.

This is my 3rd MI AK mount and it, like the other two are awesome. Finding a mount for my AK74 has been difficult. This mount centers my Sig Romeo 4 directly over the bore. Can't ask for more than that. I would definitely recommend MI mounts to anyone. Easy on and easy off with no loss of zero.

Fit my arsenal sam 7k like a glove! I wish there was better instructions on how to tighten the mount to the rail but that’s about all my complaints. My Ak has a stupid rear peep sight on the dust cover and I was worried the mro and this mount wouldn’t clear the peep sight. It worked out just fine, the mount doesn’t have to slide on or over the peep sight. It can be set right onto the ak side mount rail. Use the QD lever and it tightens right down. The mro and mount miss the rear peep sight by a few hairs and it gives you a real clean and tight look to the gun. I’d buy this again if I was running an MRO on another ak pistol.

5 Don't even consider RS as option!

The rail locking mechanism RS uses is the biggest piece of crap. They use the adjustment bolt to contain the spring, out of the box mine was jammed up on the bolt threads. The owner of the company told me to PRY on it to get it to free up so I could adjust my clamp tension. With the Midwest industries the bolt and nut adjustment DOESN'T have the spring for tension placed placed around it. It has two separate springs with machined holes for the springs to fit in close to the outside of the locking bar. That way the tension adjusts evenly if your taking your mount on and off. ALSO the MI has a secondary clasp to hold the lever in place when you lock it down. Not a crappy spring loaded pin with a detent in lever to hold it in place. Your guys product is light years beyond RS Imo. Thanks for making a quality product! Also thank you Andy for taking the time to help me personally when I couldn't get answers from other manufacturers. Your customer service rocks!

They nailed it with this rail mount! Easy to install. It holds zero with my optic. They developed it so you can see your iron sights through the rail. Some Ak products are out there are just trash, absolute trash. The staff really put in some time, and hard work to create an effective product. Semper Fi, Just another guy with an AK
