It's a solid rail. Only one that I could find that had an extended M lok attachments past the original foregrip.

Wanted to change out the M4’s hand guard so that I could have a consistent weapon light mounting solution with other rifles and shotguns I have and improve the general appearance and function of the Benelli. This product fits the need perfectly! Installation was straight forward and the fit/finish exactly what I was looking for

5 Benelli M4 handguard.

Great handguard. Allows you to grip farther out on the gun if you like to c-clamp. Also lets you put some heat panels/rail covers on which helps tremendously with heat mitigation. Only problem I ran into, and it might be exclusive to me because im using a turknelli, but the brass screws that screw into the bottom, if too tight, caused feeding issues. I'm unsure if it was squeezing the magzine tube that hard or what. But after loosening them a bit everything is flawless.
