i bought this mainly for esthetics, as i was hoping, it looks awesome on my akv. i debated on buying this one and PSA's version. i went with this one since it is actually functional as a blast diverter and not just a barrel extension like the one PSA sells.it does add some extra weight which is its only down side, but that's to be expected. well done though Midwest. i recommend buying if you're interested.

I love the product it looks and feels great my only complaint would be that it only has two index notches for the pin on an Ak. Would live to see maybe a gen 2 version that has more notches so the device fits tight and not loose. Other than that I love what Midwest Industries did with this product especially if your chasing a specific look on your Ak.

In my opinion this does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It sends the concussion and everything down range it also works as a great muzzle brake. Now this does not work as a flash hider, I was shooting with my wbp jack 16 inch barrel 5.56. It wasn’t shooting huge flames though a 16 inch barrel but I can imagine how big it would be through like a Draco. Other than that it’s a great muzzle device I might buy another one to try on my KR9.

Have on a JMACed out Draco. Looks awesome and is much lighter than you would think by looking at it. For recoil management I was very pleased by this. For flash...on a shorty AK, you are still going to get massive fireballs so don't think this is some miracle product. Better than a break when it comes to noise to the left or right but again, it's not a miracle product. Shorty AKs are going to bark. Locks up very well, looks awesome, and made really well. Very happy with this.

I saw a similar product on the psa website and I wanted to get one for my akv. But after watching videos on it I learned it was essentially just a barrel extension and the ports that can be seen wasn'tfunctional. So I started looking around and found this one. MI's is the one to buy and the price isn't crazy for what it is. All the ports have a directly connects to the main chamber and are functional. Although there is no baffles inside and doesn't do anything for sound it does kill the flash and direct the sound more forward. I'm happy with the purchase this thing looks great.

Solid, well made component that worked exactly as advertised. Huge sound improvement overall installed on 9mm PCC.
