Nice rail! Lighter than factory, looks awesome, feels great in the hand. I’m new to MLOK coming mainly from quad rails and really like this. The current rail also has a cutout for the Bayonet Lug on the 516 which is awesome.

Just what the doctor ordered. Build quality was exactly what you would expect from a well known manufacturer. Installation was simple. Lock up is extremely solid. Such a huge upgrade over the factory peice. Really need to experienced in order to truly appreciate. If you own a 516, you need this rail. Thank you Midwest Industries for supporting us 516 owners and bringing us out of the stone age.

These are the handguards I wish would have arrived on my SIG 516 10"! Fit and finish is awesome and light weight. This set now includes cut out for bayonet lug. Easy to take on and off rifle to get at the gas system. One of the best investments I have made for my 516. Hopefully in the future these will come in FDE or RAL8000.

The fit and finish of this handguard is perfect. Installation was smooth and easy and the difference is immeasurable. The decrease in weight and the reduction in circumference is a game changer. I ordered 3 for our TRT team and couldn't be happier with the result...

Love the fact that MI is putting out a product to replace the quad rail on my 516. Sadly I have the bayonet model so either I take a grinder to it or wait for an update. Either way good on you all for doing this for the community! MI for life!

5 Ah-may-zing - Like a whole new rifle!

I put one of these on my 10.5" 516. Installation couldn't be simpler and only needed some allen wrenches to remove the factory hardware (5/32"). The feel is SUPERB, it's much thinner and gives a whole new lease on life for this gun. No polymer ladder covers needed. Because I was able to migrate from 1913 to MLok on my accessories, I shaved 6.2oz off the front end of my rifle. For those wondering, this MI rail compared to my factory rail is a whopping 5 oz lighter! It doesn't have the heat shield that the factory rail has, but I usually wear gloves if I anticipate a heavy range session. With all the additional holes in the rail, I also suspect the barrel will cool faster than with the stock setup. I need to buy another for my 16" 516 (no lug on this one) and will be buying even more in the future once they're available for my 516s with a bayonet lug. I absolutely love this rail. The gun balances better in my hands and I'm more easily able to grip the forend.
